Matt began landscaping upon graduating from high School. He started with the basics and in time became a true professional. As he progressed in the landscape industry, he was promoted as a foreman and was given large crews to manage. With time landscape maintenance developed into his specialty and was responsible for larges complexes pruning, edging, and planting. During this time, he attended University of Wisconsin Washington County where he earned an associate degree in Business. With the enjoyment he received working outdoors, he was extremely interested in advancing in the industry. He began working at his second landscape company as a softscape crew member. This mostly involved new construction of planting beds and creating new turf. He was again promoted to a foreman position as management observed his quality work and exceptional work ethic. As years passed, he was given many large and complex projects to oversee. Some of those projects included working on new restaurants, very large homes, and even the occasional “famous person’s” house. During this time, he realized education in the industry was the key to further progression in the industry. He re-enrolled at Milwaukee Area Technical College where he ascertained a Horticulture Degree that has helped him become Green Industry professional he is today. Before moving to Colorado, he worked at a small nursery where he learned in depth knowledge of growing and selling small plants and large trees. He then decided to seek new opportunity in life and decided to move to Denver, CO. He began his Colorado landscape life at a small company in the suburbs where he worked closely with Katherine and Jake to develop a small growing landscape company into an industry leading organization. With his ever-growing experience and passion for the landscape industry, Matt opened LandCrafts LLC in 2020 to bring his vast knowledge and impeccable customer care to his client’s landscapes.
